Fire Risk Assessments
In accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 fire risk assessments must be carried out by a "responsible person" on a regular basis; as a result of this assessment a fire management plan must also be enacted. Fundamentally the fire risk assessment must include an identification of the fire hazards, the persons at risk from fire and ways in which to minimise the risk.
A Fire Risk Assessment helps you identify all the fire hazards and risks in your premises.
We can provide a fire risk assessment that gives your business an action plan which actively works towards reducing the chances of fire.
Fire Training
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 has made fire safety training a legal requirement for staff members.
Fire training for members of staff should be especially relevant to their job role. An example would be staff members who are expected to tackle small fires with extinguisher equipment, in this instance our fire extinguisher training courses would be ideal. Additionally when hiring new workers assessing their existing fire safety knowledge is always advisable, in some cases this may be insufficient and hence utilising the experience and know-how of our dedicated instructors is essential.
We provide fire fighting & fire marshal training courses run by our teacher.
Each session is tailor made, in order to ensure the training, meets our customers specific needs.
Sessions can be carried out at your own premises so as to create minimum disruption to your operation.
At the end of the training session, delegates sit a written test, with each receiving a certificate of attendance.
Many businesses will need fire marshals as part of their operations. Understandably these fire marshals will require additional training in order to perform their role effectively.
Safeguard are proud to offer in depth courses that give delegates a full understanding of fire safety issues pertaining to effective evacuation procedures and methods of fire prevention.
Specialist Detection
Most automatic fire detectors cannot tell the difference between contaminants such as dust, aerosols, steam etc. For environments where standard detection would cause false alarms, we recommend Air sampling or camera type detection. We are trained and experienced with many specialist detection solutions.
Air Samping
Air sampling contantly draws air through a detector via small holes in pipework from the protected area.
When the smoke density reaches a threshold the alarm is raised.
OSID
OSID detectors emit IR beams across to a receiver. These systems are immune to moving forklifts dust and only raise an alarm is smoke is detected.
Linear Heat
Linear heat detection provides early detection of fire conditions or overheating of equipment, plant or the surrounding area.
If you have a premises that requires specialist detection please contact us.
Alarm Monitoring
Alarm Monitoring connects your automatic fire detection system to an alarm receiving centre, enabling them to call the emergency services within seconds of a detector going in to an alarm condition.
1. Fire Starts
The fire alarm system detects smoke and goes into an alarm state. A signal is transmitted to the control room via GSM/GPRS/PTSN DualCom or Redcare.
2. Control Room Actions
The control room operators receive the alarm signal and action an appropriate responce. If out of hours, keyholders and the fire service are summoned.
3. Fire Service Respond
The Fire Service attend site and deal with the outcome of the alarm signal.
If you have a premises that may benefit from 24 hour monitoring please contact us.
